Nick Paton’s American Sign Language
Nick Paton is an Edinburgh-based photographer nearing the end of his BA in Photography and Film at Edinburgh Napier.
This series is from a bigger body of work – American Sign Language. Collectively the work focuses on visual language and the use and function of the image. All images from the series were taken in Canada in a School for the Deaf, near Toronto – all those in the image (and 16mm film) use American Sign Language as their primary use of communication.
The series can be found at Nick’s website.
